Purity of Lies

Lie purified truths
Potent as sage muse
Subtle as love
Meshed in irony

Life begets death
Wisdom of the drunk
Lust begets love
Society scorns

Lies makes love last
What more man asks

True love lusts
Our name drip deceit
Closed embrace
Silent laughter

Bitter kisses
Taste like honeycomb
Wrinkled smiles?
What more man asks

What are we living to die for?
True love's fake pulse?
Comfort of Persian rugs?
Sphinx riddles world ask

Love sighs
As hearts look up the sky
Lovers nestle
In purity of lies
